Artist's Comments

Wow, it's been a while since I posted! Here's the second in my Kindred Spirits series. I love the idea of a big Clydesdale and some cut little European House Sparrows. They just seem to go together. The title refers to the Sparrows gathering strands of his mane to use in building their nests. The original is 18x18 acrylic on illustrationg board. Prints are available, as is the original. Looking forward to painting more of this series. Horses and birds two of my favourite subjects!

I love the detail you put into your work, but I think the legs are too thick, too bulky looking even for a Clyde... the birds and the rest of him are wonderful tho! Keep up the good work, I love your gallery

It is quite a pretty and well done piece but I agree that there's something off about the legs. They somehow reminde me of human arms for some reason. Hmph. Great details though!

This is a relly lovely piece. All the tiny details in it, it's atmosphere... this and I love both... sparrows and draft horses. ^^

The only thing that's a bit off is the really empty background... I am sure it would have leveled up the picture even more if you ould at least see some nice sheep clouds and maybe some meadows or fields.

And the bar tender says to Renee Descartes, "Another beer?" And Descartes says, "I think not," and disappears.
