While scanning some older pics, I ran across this painting that I did way back in 2000. It was done for a juried show at a gallery that specialized in horse art. A great excuse to paint one of my favourite subjects I thought. I love the heavy, curvy bodies of draft horses and dapple grey percherons are a favourite. This lovely young mare was one I photographed at a local drafter sale. Acrylic on illustration board. Prints available.
