Some scraps of grey paper are always floating around my stack of art supplies. Today, I grabbed a 5 1/2x14 one and did up this. I can't help it, I like pretty boy elves I also like lots of long, pretty hair on my men. And lots of drapery...and jewelry... and well you get the point! I can partly blame this one on drooling over too many ball jointed dolls lately. Had to get it out my system some way as I can't afford one. This is ink and liquid acrylic on grey paper. I've tossed in a close up of the face so you can see the details. For sale if anyone is interested.
Elves have been a part of so many cultures the world over, with some very different physical attributes- that I wouldn't personally think it entirely odd if they weren't the slim effeminate image portrayed most often in fantasy, particularly perpetuated by D&D. They have even been little people like faeries from what I remember at one point. The picture is beautiful, I love the braids and the choice of colours.
EEE! Long haired cute boys are part of the joy of life. Drapy things are nice too. You can place them on the cute boy it just makes him look better. The sun like mark around his head is a nice touch and the way the braids dwirl around him is a nice way of showing he is magical without the useal amounts of smoke that some use in their drawings. Very cute though.
