Report a Policy Violation
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.

Yhis acrylic painting was done in a glazing method. The whole painting was originally rendered with black, white and raw umber. Then I glazed in the colours with very thin layers of colour. It gives it a nice antique look to my eye. This was done as my version of Tolkien's Legolas, done long before the movies came out. I'm very fond of painting pretty, fantasy men

And it's a relief to see an original, personal concept for a Tolkien character... after those films (I like 'em, don't get me wrong) the charakters seem to be defined by jacksons versions and nobody is willing or able to stray from it do their own one. (I realize this was done before, just wanted to say it)
